Batman’s utility belt has to be the coolest thing about him. Think about it, he has it on him at all times. And he has everything he can eve need on it (including the option to call the batmobile). I like to do the same (not beating up criminals in the night, just be prepared).
Collecting as many skills as I can is my utility belt. I’m a cook, computer technician, salesman, website builder/designer and the list goes on. This is not the Moshe is awesome post, this is my way of saying I can find work no matter what. Having just one skill no matter how good you are at it is risky. What if something happens and you can’t do your job anymore? How will you service?
Having another skill to fall back on can save you. Being able to pivot to another position in another business, or just support yourself with a part time job till your company can support you is just as important as not putting all your money in one place.
It’ easier than you thing. Just go for something that interests you. If you like something learning it doesn’t seem like work, it’s fun. Use that to your advantage.
