Don’t spend less than you earn, earn more than you spend

You’re living on the edge because you make just as much as you need to survive, but is spending less really the answer? Most business consultants would like you to think so. The truth is that it doesn’t matter, if you can focus on spending less you can just as easily focus on making more and keeping your current lifestyle.

How to spend your resources the smart way

Let’s take $1,000 to make our calculations easy. If you were making $1,000 a month and spending all of it, you have to create a delta (difference of money you can invest). The problem is, most of the advice you get is wrong. You’re told to cut back n your spending to create that delta and that’s taking way too much of your focus. The reason it’s taking to much focus is that it’s broken up into too many different points you have to consider. You have to cut down on your groceries, bills, eating out etc.

What’s the alternative?

Instead of focusing on so many things at once focus on just one thing, getting just one client. It might seem too hard for you right now, and that’s understandable. But if you think about it, it’s much easier than going through your entire budget with a fine comb. All you have to do is spend a few hours a week, sometimes not more than two or three to get the same delta.

So don’t cut back on your spending, keep it as it is and add one more clients.
